October 16th 2018 at Justine’s – Nicola Cox

This was a memorable evening for the amount of cream, cheese and butter involved. They did things differently in the 70s! Tracey’s extra offering of bananas wrapped in ham, smothered in cheese sauce was something special. Once tasted, never forgotten…..

Justine – Chicken Shalimar

Tracey – Lamb and lemon stew

Most of us hadn’t heard of Maria Elia before, but we enjoyed her recipes, which were very tasty. Some unusual ingredients, which for some involved special journeys out of Bucks….

At time of writing we can only remember a few of the recipes used, but all would be ones we’d do again!

Jane – Chilli & tangerine lentils (BBC good food)

Puddings

July 31st 2018 at Janet’s – Jamie Oliver

Our first evening was a great success, although sadly Debrah couldn’t join us as it was school holidays.

We can’t all remember everything that was cooked, but the highlights were:

The beginnings

Plates with Mates was formed in August 2018

10 friends in Seer Green decided to host a food ‘book group’. Every 6 weeks or so, someone decides on a cook book, chef or theme. Each person is allocated a starter, main, side or dessert. We all come together, bringing our dish for all to try.
